We are a community!

 

TALC is an alternative learning space, which moves away from the typical regular schools and systems, and firmly believes in the power of 'We' the community. The growth and development of the child is a process which is achieved best when everyone involved comes together, the parents and the educators.

Today, TALC is movement, offering a comprehensive, integrated curriculum that responds to a child’s age-specific, developmental needs - BMI model, and academics is rendered using the NIOS & CAMBRIDGE curriculum framework.  

Both the above boards facilitate child-centricity by allowing children to pick and chose subjects of their choice, without any restrictions, allows them to write exams as private candidates which again allows each child to enjoy the exam writing process without the pressure that comes with "exams".

Our Mission

​TALC-PHYSIS exists to design and deliver a child-centered, humanistic education system that:

•    Places the child’s individuality, voice, and pace of growth above rigid curricula.
•    Integrates cultural wisdom with global knowledge.
•    Cultivates emotional intelligence, creativity, critical thinking, and ethical responsibility along with academic excellence.
•    Provide children with mentors who guide them with understanding and respect, overturning the one-directional teaching methodology, a significant drawback of the colonized education system and its practices.
•    Establish an environment where parents, children, and experts come together to nurture children into tomorrow’s future leaders and respected citizens.

Children will be nurtured through relationships built on trust, empathy, and mutual understanding. Mentors, peers, and families form a circle of connection that anchors the child emotionally and socially, helping them feel seen, heard, and valued as they grow.

We will uphold every child’s right to be treated with inherent dignity, free from comparison or judgment. Every interaction will reflect respect for the child’s personhood, affirming their worth and empowering them to take pride in their identity and voice.

Joy will be at the heart of every learning experience — we believe that true growth happens when children feel delight, curiosity, and excitement. We will create spaces where laughter, play, and wonder are celebrated, nurturing not only the mind but also the spirit.

 Children will be enveloped in an environment where they feel physically secure, emotionally protected, intellectually and psychologically safe to express themselves. We will anchor their sense of safety through consistent care, clear boundaries, and unconditional acceptance.

We will champion every child’s boundless potential, seeing beyond labels or limitations. Our role is to gently unfold their talents and capabilities, allowing them to blossom in their own time and way, while continuously believing in all that they can become.

TALC's Uniqueness
 Mentoring, not Teaching

We at TALC believe that the next generation needs mentors and guides rather than conventional teachers. 

We prioritize establishing bonds and building rapport before delving into academics. It's crucial for the child to feel safe and comfortable enough to explore anything under the sun.

Our mentors, predominantly from psychology and humanities backgrounds, deeply appreciate the significance of emotional intelligence (EQ) and emotions. They cherish the bonds they form with the children they guide.
